The Doctors and staff at Westrop Medical Practice in Wiltshire are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

Vaccination is recommended and offered for patients:
Chronic Heart Disease
Chronic Respiratory Disease and Asthma (that requires continuous or repeated use of inhaled or systemic steroids or with previous exacerbations requiring hospital admission (2 inhalers with script in the last 3 months)
Chronic kidney disease
Chronic liver disease
Chronic Neurological Disease (including stroke/TIA, Cerebral Palsy or MS)
Carer (in receipt of carers allowance)
Online services (Online Appointments and Repeat Prescriptions) are now available. This is done through SystmOnline. To take advantage of these services you will need to create an individual account which is generated by a unique letter supplied by the Practice's clinical computer system. Please ask at Reception.

IT/ELECTRONIC PATIENT RECORDS
STATEMENT OF INTENT FOR Westrop Medical Practice
New contractual requirements came into force from 1st April 2015 requiring that GP practices should make available a statement of intent in relation to the following IT developments:-
- Referral Management
- Electronic Appointment Booking
- On line Booking of repeat prescriptions
- Summary Care Record
- GP2GP transfers
- Patient Access to the detailed information from the medical record.
Westrop Medical Practice now offer to our patients all of the requirements under the GP contract relating to IT developments and are working closely with our Clinical System Suppliers to allow patients to access the detailed information from their medical record. It is our intention to have this development available to our patients by 31st March 2016.
Named Allocated GP
All Patients now have a named allocated GP, please contact the surgery if you would like to know the name of your Allocated GP.
